Billy Idol's newest album, Kings and Queens of the Underground debuted this month at Number 34 on Billboard 200.
This is Idol's first release in nine years to contain original material.
The three-time Grammy nominee's release is his 11th chart hit and his highest debuting album. Understand of course, overall album sales have dropped to a fraction of what they were. Kings and Queens of the Underground is the highest ranked Idol album since 1990's Charmed Life which hit number eleven.

Idol formed the band Generation X before moving to New York to strike up a solo career in the early 1980s.

Holy cow... that was actually GOOD! I didn't know he was even singing. Boy has he gotten polished. And he still does the lip thing... that made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I really like the song... I'll have to listen to more from this album.
But he wasn't punching the air. I miss the air punches.
DeleteInteresting song, freaky video... the poor guy always looks like he's angry about something. I'd offer to give him a hug, but I think he'd probably hit me.
ReplyDeleteI think the song is anti violence against women. A few mixed messages though.
DeleteIs it me or does Idol Sound a little auto tuned?
ReplyDeleteCould be. But I am pretty sure those are his real breasts.
