Happily Ever After: 30 Days of Photographs

Today's theme is Happily Ever After. This one was difficult. I had all sorts of ideas, but no subjects. That is, until Saturday night on Prince Arthur Street in Montreal. We can think of fairy tales, or real tales. And this older couple, likely married for many years, walking down the street holding hands. In 80 years from now, I want to be walking down the street hand in hand with my wife.


I suppose they were looking around trying to decide what to do before entering into Cafe Campus for the nights rocking Pop Montreal show. Check out Ziva's Inferno to see who else contributed to today's photo challenge.     Man I hope I'm still rockin' when I'm 80. I enjoyed your pics over the last 30 days, Shawn. It really has been fun trying to meet the prompts, taking pics and talking about them. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do now that it's October.

    Why do people constantly sentimentalize old age and marriage? The only reason she's holding his hand is because he's gone senile and she doesn't want him wandering away because it's his retirement checks that pay the rent.

    Okay, maybe they're still in love, who knows?

    Shawn, you have a wicked sense of humor and I'm really happy you joined us for the challenge. I hope to see you next time around.

      Hey Mike, I have it all planned out. I married a younger woman. When I am 80, my wife will be a hottie of 73 years young.

    I love seeing older folk who are still communicating, whether by talking to each other or by touch. So many middle-aged people around here seem to walk along together in total silence with glum faces. It makes OH and I feel like the odd ones out!

    And I really want to believe those two are going into that club when they've finished traffic watching!

    I want to be them when I'm 80, too. 80 doesn't sound so old anymore, though. :) My mom will be 76 soon.

    What a good choice for the last day of the challenge. I'm glad you participated. It's been fun. I'll be back for the "beer a day" you mentioned in one of the comments somewhere today. Hee Hee.

    I love what you did for the last prompt. It was great getting to know you. My husband and I are also huge fans of the TV show MASH. He once saw Alan Alda on a sidewalk in NYC.

      I remember as a kid, the new episodes of MASH was on too late for me to watch. But it was on in syndication during the day. I would sometimes watch it 5 times in one day. And often the same episode twice.
