Rising: 30 Days of Photographs

The twin pyramid towers of Montreal's Olympic Village were constructed for the 1976 Montreal Summer Games as a residence for the athletes. Rising up above the Olympic grounds the towers consist of 23 floors and stands at 70.0 metres tall (230 feet). Architect Roger Tallibert designed the buildings consisting of 980 residential suites.

    I've never been inside but I've always loved the look of that building. Somewhat iconic isn't it?

      I've never been to the apartments but have visited offices, stores and restaurants on the lower floors.

    That's a cool building! I love the pointy elevator shafts. I would want to stay on the 23rd floor!

    I'm in the minority, I'm afraid. I don't much care for it. It looks all glass and concrete and ... pointy! I am an old stick-in-the-mud who prefers a nice Victorian or Edwardian semi-detached.

    It's a lovely photo though, and that building definitely looks as if it's rising toward the sky!
